Anuradha Gupta (Anu) (she/her) is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Engineer, MBA, mediator, writer, and 200 hr RYT Yoga Teacher. She is the proud Mom of two kids, one of whom is LGBTQ+. When her kid came out to her, she embraced them, did a course on "Queering Identities," and became an active advocate, talking to families and friends in the community about LGBTQ+ rights. She was a Guest speaker advocating for LGBTQ+ issues at "Desi Moms," Queer Story Time," her Engineering School, BITS, and Pilani on "Embracing LGBTQ+ in the Family," and at San Ramon Diversity Coalition. She volunteers for many nonprofits like Free Mom Hugs, Real Mama Bears, Art of Living, and The Trevor Project. Following many Mama Bears' footsteps, Anu became a non-denominational Minister who could officiate LGBTQ+ weddings and was featured by the Universal Life Church. In 2021, on behalf of the Human Rights Commission, Anu represented the LGBTQ+ community at the US Senate, relating her story; to the fact that her two kids don't have equal rights. She writes part-time for Kerala Ayurveda, has worked hard to declare the Ayurvedic (Indian Traditional Complementary Medicine) Medicine space in the US LGBTQ+ affirming, and is on the DEI committee of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
