Faye Isaacson

Treasurer

Faye Isaacson is the mom of an only child, a mid-20s queer son who came out to his parents while in middle school.  Faye immediately sought out PFLAG and attended her first support meeting at this chapter and is very thankful for the terrific support of the other parents and the chapter’s extensive lending library.  Faye joined the Board a year or so after attending her first support meeting, glad to give back and support other parents and families.  She previously served as Secretary and then as Membership Chairperson before her current role as Treasurer.

Faye’s previous non-profit experience includes having served on the Board of Directors of DCARA (Deaf Counseling, Advocacy & Referral Agency) for 2 years, Treeview Swim Club (Hayward) for 3 years, and Greenbrook Elementary School’s Eagle Fund for 7 years - President for 2 of the years.  Faye was also awarded a commendation by the California Department of Rehabilitation for her many years of volunteer work for CIL-CTP (Center for Independent Living - Computer Training Program), which is now known simply as CTP (Computer Technologies Program).

Faye and her family have lived in Danville since 1999.  She is an avid doubles tennis player since picking up a tennis racquet at age 44 and more recently played on the team that made it to the USTA League National Championships when she was 60.
